It is time that the journalist working for traditional media should be given control of the failing traditional media’s.There is a consistent ignorance shown by most members in the journalist community concerning the issue of low standard content. There is a strong resentment among majority of consumers over the misconstrued information provided by the established media. All the rich and infleuntial traditional media is doing to prevent its death is supporting powerful people.

It is becoming very difficult for the traditional media to keep on capturing the imagination of the viewers and the one major reason behind this failure is emerging technologies of today.Digital video and sound are gradually taking over the domain once ruled by the traditional media e.g.,TV and Radio .The tools are inexpensive, easy to use and produce stuff almost close to the quality of the one produced by traditional broadcasting companies.Consumers are no more dependent on the content produced by the journalistic elite. Now, everyone has chance to film, edit and store an incident on his/her own personal computer.

It is strange to know that there are people who still doubt the capabilities of emerging technologies in the feild of media. In the last decade, media has gone through a huge transformation in the way it carries out its daily workings. Moreover,it is now a obvious reality that majority feels disgruntled with the immensely established information providers.Information consumers have started thinking of other vistas of potential information providers. The internet has provided this opportunity for the citizens to express themselves in the manner they like to do.
