bloggers community
Perhaps the incredible growth of blogs can be attributed to the simplicity of creating and maintaining your blog. No Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) programming knowledge or skill is required.
Typically, the blog has a single author, however there are some group blogs where contributors post and debate short essays and opinion pieces. The comments represent the opinions of the author and their interpretations of an event, content or context. An examination of the blog-o-sphere reveals the proliferation of blogging across an expansive range of users and industries. These include software developers, web designers, journalists, librarians, lawyers, education and knowledge management specialists, researchers, and individuals with a desire to communicate their view on a topic or issue.
Researchers, academics, teachers, and students are excitedly embracing blogs. Although not exhaustive, I will present some of the current practical applications of blogs in the educational context and briefly examine the possibilities.
It may be presumptuous, however when reviewing the inclusion of blogging strategies reported in education fields, the intention appears to be to enrich the learning experience and provide an opportunity for learners to shift from surface to deeper levels of learning.

Emerging technologies
It is time that the journalist working for traditional media should be given control of the failing traditional media’s.There is a consistent ignorance shown by most members in the journalist community concerning the issue of low standard content. There is a strong resentment among majority of consumers over the misconstrued information provided by the established media. All the rich and infleuntial traditional media is doing to prevent its death is supporting powerful people.
It is becoming very difficult for the traditional media to keep on capturing the imagination of the viewers and the one major reason behind this failure is emerging technologies of today.Digital video and sound are gradually taking over the domain once ruled by the traditional media e.g.,TV and Radio .The tools are inexpensive, easy to use and produce stuff almost close to the quality of the one produced by traditional broadcasting companies.Consumers are no more dependent on the content produced by the journalistic elite. Now, everyone has chance to film, edit and store an incident on his/her own personal computer.

The networking capabilities of computer is creating a kind of amazing infrastructure for the information exchange. There are numerous possibilities of digital media becoming a fifth estate. Most of the bloggers are currently are not interested in blogging for shaping the truth, rather, they are more excited about connecting with other people.Connecing with other people is good because it gives you a firsthand knowledge of knowing or experiencing other cultures and ideas, but it is not much useful for getting to the facts. It is good if the people involved in this media start organizing things on the web.It will take a while until the web becomes a primary medium like the newspapers or television were once.
Media | Comment (0)Is new media working ?
The professionals who once were part of the established tv networks and newspapers are now turning their loyality towards these so-called “amateur platforms”.It has given a hope to the enthusiastic Robin hoods sitting across networks all around the world. What the early birds are feeling is something similar to what once their predecessors felt when they entered the discipline of mass communication. It will not be a very different platform if the forces working inside the media are not actively resisted, the forces like e.g, Market,Government and technology itself. It will be a great thrill to see how the new media people deal with the traditional tactics of the old media.
Media | Comment (0)Is media going through a transformation?
From newspapers to television and from Television to blogs, media has come a long way.Working for a media organization has never been so difficult as it looks today.A journalist is feeling more and more helpless in dealing with the ever growing strength of the media outlets. There is a reason for them to rebel against this hegemony and to dissaprove the rules set by a few infleuntial people.Media should be controlled by men/women who have kept the virtues in the discipline of mass communication alive, otherwise, the information we get will be choosen by a handful of media barons.
It is strange to know that there are people who still doubt the capabilities of emerging technologies in the feild of media. In the last decade, media has gone through a huge transformation in the way it carries out its daily workings. Moreover,it is now a obvious reality that majority feels disgruntled with the immensely established information providers.Information consumers have started thinking of other vistas of potential information providers. The internet has provided this opportunity for the citizens to express themselves in the manner they like to do.
